ERIKA ENDORPHINE KAFTAN

The designer Anupamaa Dayal is a liberated woman but is also in search of her roots. Living in the nature and observing its flora and fauna have inspired her in the creation of quivering prints and contemporary silhouettes.
One of her greatest passions is the sacred forest of Mangar, where villagers tell the story of the mystic spirit of Baba Gudariya. In Mangar, where the great Dhau trees grow, there are 90 species of butterflies and wildlife like civet, leopards and deer. Therefore, her colours are inspired by the jungle, using green parakeets, poisonous ivy, yellow daffodil, indigo and Burgundy for her women clothes.
All this stories are printed with natural dyes in her organic philosophy.
